Rules and Regulations @ One Badminton
One Badminton management (hereinafter referred as “OBA”), guests, court rental players and coaches (hereinafter referred as “participants”) must thoroughly review all our rules and regulations before using the OBA facility. These rules & regulations are designed to allow all participants to enjoy the new facility in a way that will be safe and productive. OBA management reserves the right to vary and revoke these Rules & Regulations from time to time in addition to make, vary and revoke any by-laws which may be considered necessary or desirable for the regulation of the internal affairs of the Club and the conduct of the participants. Any such changes will be notified to participants immediately.
1. Booking Terms
1.1 Participants must make advance court reservations prior to play at OBA. Reservations can be made by telephone, WhatsApp or directly in person at OBA reception counter. All fees, where applicable, must be paid before use of the relevant courts or facilities.
1.2 Courts cancellation must be notified through WhatsApp at least 24 hours ahead, otherwise court fee will be charged and may be barred from entering the OBA premises in the future.
1.3 No show fees, as informed by the OBA, will be charged where cancellation is not received by the Club by at least 24 hours prior to the booked time, where the facility cannot be booked to other participants.
1.4 Bookings confirmed once payment is done. Court bookings are reserved on a first come first served basis.
1.5 Online banking payment must be made at least 2 hours before the booking time. The reservation shall offer to other participants if payment has not been received on that stated time. Payments over the counter are not accepted.
1.6 Do not accept a refund or cancellation once the payment is made.
1.7 Participants must check in at the reception counter. Participants please verify booking time when checking in. OBA staff must confirm the booking. Late comers will not be entertained at any cost once the session begins.
1.8 Children under 12 and senior citizens above 60 are not encouraged to come.
1.9 Maximum 6 people per court booking. OBA reserves the right to limit the numbers of drop-in participants and court rental players to use the facility at any time.
1.10 All coaching is controlled by OBA and should be arranged with its knowledge and consent. Coaching is undertaken by qualified coaches appointed by the Club and no other coach.
1.11 OBA reserves the right at any time without prior notice to set aside facilities for tournaments, exhibitions and other social activities.
1.12 OBA cannot be held responsible for any service or equipment not being available for whatever reason. OBA reserves the right to make alterations to the type of facilities provided, without notice and in its absolute discretion and the Club shall not be liable for any loss occasioned by such alterations except insofar as such loss is by law incapable of exclusion.
2. Payment Terms
2.1 All payments in the hall shall be made through Touch and go pay, Maybank QR pay, Grab Pay, Boost Pay, Razer Pay, internet banking, Paywave or Credit Card payment. We do not accept cash payment in the hall.
3.1 Goods sold are STRICTLY not refundable and not exchangeable.
3.2 OBA pro shop merchandise and services are sold ‘as-is’ without any warranty.
4. Personal Conduct
4.1 When entering in OBA, participants are expected to behave in a sensible and responsible manner. OBA is not responsible and can’t be held liable for any injury to any individuals, members or guests. Everyone must treat all equipment provided with care and respect and to make sure the court is clean and free of obstruction before exiting the court. OBA reserves the right to deny access and eject from the premises anyone who uses profanity, exhibits disruptive behavior, conducts illegal activity and/or harassment of any form, or violates OBA’s terms and conditions at the cost of that customer. Any damaged equipment must be replaced by the responsible individual(s).
4.2 Participants are subject to the control and guidance of the OBA staff, and must follow their instructions while in the facility. Participants agree to conduct themselves in a quiet and well mannered fashion when in the club and not cause any disturbances or interfere with the safe use or enjoyment of the club by other participants.
4.3 The development and use of appropriate language is promoted. Obscene language, gestures, swearing, profanity, blasphemy, and other offensive behavior any kind is not allowed. Harassment is forbidden.
4.4 Participants shall not conduct, purchase or subscribe to any commercial business or activity on club premises or solicit other participants for any reason without the club’s prior written consent. Under no circumstances shall participants interfere with the club’s conduct of its business. Any complaints, other than those of an emergency nature or requiring immediate attention by the OBA staff, shall be made directly to the management in private.
4.5 Only food or drinks purchased at OBA are allowed but must all be consumed in the designated areas within the facility. ABSOLUTELY no food or drinks are allowed on the playing area and badminton court mats.
4.6 OBA does not allow smoking, gum chewing, animals or weapons in the facility. Anyone found to be violating this policy will be required to leave OBA premises immediately without refund.
4.7 OBA should not be held responsible for any lost or stolen items in our facilities, or for any loss or damage to participants’ vehicles that are parked on our premises
4.8 Participants are required to leave the hall immediately after the end of the session.
4.9 No showers are allowed.
5. Dress Code
5.1 Participants are requested to wear suitable sport exercise clothing while at the facility. OBA management reserves the right to deny entry to the hall by any person whose attire is considered by the OBA staff to be inappropriate in connection with the public image of the hall and its rules and regulations. No profane language or slogans on any attire is permitted in the hall.
5.2 Participants must wear appropriate light colored sole (both non-marking and non-black sole), in-door sports, or badminton shoes ONLY while playing on the badminton courts. No bare feet/flip flops/hiking shoes/smart casual shoes allowed on the badminton court mats. Participants found violating this policy will have to leave the OBA premises immediately and will not be entitled to any refund. Non-marking black/dark sole shoes are not allowed.
6. Health Concerns
6.1 Participants should consult with their physician before using our services and facilities. Participants must understand and acknowledge that OBA staff has no expertise in diagnosing, examining or treating any medical condition.
6.2 Participants agree that they will not use the OBA facility with any medical condition including infections, maladies or inability to maintain personal hygiene, if such condition poses a direct health or safety of other Participants, and agree they will use the facility in accordance with all applicable public health requirements. OBA management reserves the right, however, to make the final determination in this regard.
WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Please read the following WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT (hereinafter ‘AGREEMENT’) carefully before entering One Badminton Academy (hereinafter ‘OBA’) facilities. By entering, accessing or using OBA facilities or any of its services, participants shall be deemed to have agreed to this agreement. If you are unwilling to be bound by this agreement, please do not enter OBA facilities. Participants agree that by engaging in any physical exercise,class or activity, or by using any club equipment or facility on the premises, the participants do so at their own risk. This includes, without limitation, the use of the equipment, locker room, showers, parking area, or sidewalk and their participation in any activity, class, program or instruction now or in the near future made available. Participants agree that they are voluntarily taking part in these activities and use of the facility and assume all risk of injury, or the contraction of any illness or medical condition that might result thereof of any damage, loss or theft of any personal property. Participants agree to release and discharge OBA, all affiliates, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns from any and all claims or causes of action (known or unknown) arising out of OBA’s negligence.
PARTICIPANTS ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS A RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY. IN ADDITION,THEY HEREBY WAIVE ANY RIGHT THAT THEY MAY HAVE, BY OR ON BEHALF OF THEIR SPOUSE OR ANY CHILD (MINOR OR OTHERWISE), TO BRING A LEGAL ACTION OR ASSERT A CLAIM FOR INJURY OR LOSS OF ANY KIND AGAINST US FOR OUR NEGLIGENCE OR ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO PARTICIPATION BY THE PARTICIPANTS, THEIR SPOUSE OR CHILD IN ANY OF THE ACTIVITIES,OR USE OF THE EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES OR SERVICES WE PROVIDE AS DESCRIBED IN THIS PARAGRAPH, OR ON ACCOUNT OF ANY ILLNESS OR ACCIDENT, OR DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF THEIR PERSONAL PROPERTY.
